Singles

Hey, gang, got a question for you.

I'm thinking about putting my short stories up for sale on Lulu.com for a buck apiece, like iTunes or something. These would be the whole story you get to read in Pulp Legacy (and I'll still put them there first for you guys, you've been so good to me) but downloadable for a buck to whomever might like to read them as DRM-free pdf files. One story a month, for a buck, with a 1500 word text preview and maybe free audio. Whether that's a preview or the whole story, I don't know.

Would you guys help me promote it, even passively, by sending on emails to your friends who read? Does this seem like a decent idea? Self-publishing for the digital age.

Lemme know what you think.

I will Twitter and Facebook the hell out of it....or to my friends and those that follow my tweets.
I like the new stuff from what I've read. I apologize for having the attention span of a gnat around a zapper. Probably why I make games- it fits the monotony.
Buzzzzzz-ZAP!Buzzzzzz-ZAP!Buzzzzzz-ZAP!etc...not so much for books.

Thanks! That'll be a big help. I'm planning a June launch now so I can be writing ahead. More details soon, plus two stories in PL this time!

I will promote as best I can. I don't have facebook, etc., but I will try to help.

I think it's a great idea. I hope it inspires you to write more. Go for it, man. Commit to it!

Oh, I'm committed. It's going to launch in June, and I'm buying the domain next week. I'm playing around with designs and such, too. Need to get the right license info to protect my rights, etc...

I'm working on a new story, The Receivers, and have ideas for about a dozen more without revisiting any old ideas. I should be able to run for a year or so, maybe longer. At least as long as I have ideas.

Hopefully I can make a real go of it.
