I can't keep up with Spidey

This weekly Amazing Spider-Man schedule is killing me. I can't keep up. And the stories haven't been great lately.
The back issues are starting to pile up again... am I going to quit new comics again?

I'm going to the shop this weekend. I haven't been there in two months. We'll see what it's like....

Yeah, so I just caught up with Spider-Man. The stories aren't that bad, just not as good as when they were when Brand New Day first started. I hadn't been to the comic shop in about 3 months and I had a sizable pile. All told I picked up ASM #616-626. That's eleven issues. Right now they're going through a long theme called "The Gauntlet" where Spidey is meeting up with a variety of old-school villains including Sand Man, Rhino, Mysterio, Scorpion, Morbius, and Vulture. Some of them are newer versions of said villains. Somehow they're tied to the Kraven family, but there hasn't been much info. Although the covers are good, the interior art is a little choppy, now and then. It could be that they're switching artists too frequently for any flow. That's what happens when a book comes out three times a month. The stories themselves aren't that bad. Some are pretty good. But there's not much about Pete's personal life as there was before. It's easy to get behind, though.
