Early estimates show a voter turnout of 130+ million people. That kind of civic duty hasn't been seen since the 1908 election. You know what the coolest part is (for me, anyway)? I know that we have just elected a black president. But I don't think of him as a black president. I think of him as a very good man to be president. And that, I think, is part of his appeal. People don't see the labels, they see the man (as opposed to The MAN).
Hotter, yes; but I think after Dan Quayle as VP- the people have spoken. Obama is certainly better than McCain's continuance of the Bush travesty. But after waking up this morning a funny thought popped into my head: When Clinton met bush he got a little head. When Bush got into office he jumped in head first. And Obama, after Bush, is in over his head. Of course he's yet to begin his official duties and it's early to say how he'll do, but they did shoot Kennedy before it was realized that he was a commie.....D'OH!

And there you have it. I cried, and tomorrow the work begins. We don't have to 'fight' for what we need, we have to work for it.
We elected the right man to lead us in how to accomplish the work that has to be done.

Us Canucks also give your choice two thumbs up. Did you know we also had a federal election last month? Didn't think so. (Neither did we.)
The only disappointment was that the other VP candidate was hotter.
